Arrival in Arusha
Upon your arrival at the airport, a representative from Tranquil Kilimanjaro will greet you and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. You will have the chance to relax and prepare for the exciting adventures ahead. Your luxury accommodation for the night is the Gran Melia Arusha, an oasis of calm and aesthetic pleasure.
Accommodation:
Tarangire National Park
In the morning, your personal safari guide will collect you from your lodgings in Arusha. You will set out for Tarangire National Park, traversing gently rolling Maasai plains with scattered acacia trees. Along the way, you will encounter the vibrant Maasai people and their colorful attire. Tarangire National Park is renowned for its large elephant herds and diverse wildlife. From the open roof of your state-of-the-art safari jeep, you will explore the seasonal swamps, savannah, and the life-giving Tarangire River. Keep an eye out for zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and giraffes. If luck is on your side, you may even spot lions stalking their prey or leopards lounging in the trees. In the evening, you will retire to one of our carefully selected luxury partner lodges, where you will enjoy a delicious dinner and have access to a refreshing pool.
Accommodation:
Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, your epic safari continues as you visit Lake Manyara National Park. Despite its relatively small size, this park offers great diversity. The shallow salt lake, covering seventy percent of the park’s surface area, attracts thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. During your exploration of the park, you will encounter monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalos, elephants, and, if luck is on your side, lions lounging in the trees. The park’s landscapes vary from open grassy plains to woodlands filled with primates and cliffs adorned with baobab trees. After another memorable game drive, you will have lasting memories of the African wilderness.
Accommodation:
Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will travel towards the fertile highlands where crops like wheat and corn are grown by the Iraqw people. En route, you will pass through the mist-shrouded rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you may have the chance to spot baboons, leopards, and elephants in the dense undergrowth. As you traverse the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be treated to the breathtaking sight of the Ngorongoro Crater before reaching the Serengeti National Park by midday. The Serengeti is Tanzania’s largest park, featuring diverse landscapes and habitats such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannahs, and mountains. After an extensive game drive, you will arrive at your accommodation, Lahia Tented Lodge, where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night.
Accommodation:
Full Day Serengeti
The entire day is dedicated to game drives within the Serengeti. Known for its abundance of wildlife, the Serengeti is home to impalas, buffalos, crocodiles, hippos, and various other animals. However, it is most famous for the great migrating herds of zebras, antelopes, and wildebeests. Their movements are determined by the rainfall and vary from year to year. In November and December, they migrate from the northern region, dominated by woodlands and hills, to the grassy plains of the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June, they return to the north. Aside from the migrating herds, you may also have the opportunity to spot resident predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions as they fulfill their roles in the circle of life. After an unforgettable day, you will return to Lahia Tented Lodge for relaxation, dinner, and a restful sleep on the endless plain.
Accommodation:
Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater
Following breakfast, you will depart from the Serengeti National Park and make your way to the Ngorongoro Crater. As you approach the crater, you will be captivated by its unique and pristine wilderness, encompassing sweeping savannahs, pockets of acacia woodland, and glistening lakes and swamps. The Ngorongoro Crater was formed when a large volcano collapsed upon itself millions of years ago. Descending into the crater is an adventure in itself, and once you reach the crater floor, you will find yourself surrounded by abundant wildlife, including wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. The Crater offers a remarkable opportunity to spot the endangered black rhino, which can occasionally be seen in the open grasslands. After a full afternoon of exploration in the Crater, you will head to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

The best time for this 7-day Tanzania Luxury Safari depends on your preferences and the specific experiences you seek. Here are some general guidelines:
Tarangire National Park: The dry season from June to October is the best time to visit Tarangire National Park. During this period, the wildlife congregates around the Tarangire River, providing excellent game-viewing opportunities. The weather is generally pleasant, with lower chances of rainfall.
Lake Manyara National Park: Lake Manyara National Park can be visited year-round, but the dry season from June to October is recommended for better wildlife sightings. The park is known for its birdlife, and you may spot flamingos in large numbers during the wet season.
Serengeti National Park: Serengeti is famous for its annual wildebeest migration, which typically occurs from November to June. The exact timing depends on rainfall patterns, but December to March is usually the best time to witness the wildebeest calving season. For general game viewing, the dry season from June to October is also excellent.
Ngorongoro Crater: The Ngorongoro Crater is a year-round destination, and wildlife can be seen throughout the year. However, the dry season from June to October offers better visibility and lower chances of rain. The crater is a popular spot, so visiting during the shoulder seasons (April to May and November) may provide a quieter experience.
The dry season (June to October) is considered the best time for wildlife viewing in Tanzania. The weather is pleasant, and animals gather around water sources, providing excellent game-viewing opportunities. However, each season has its unique highlights, so it’s worth considering your specific interests and priorities when choosing the best time for your luxury safari.
