Chanya Lodge is one of our favourite properties in Moshi and around the Kilimanjaro Region. Why? Because it is located along the highway to Marangu Town and Gate, not far away from the town, but a short distance from the outskirts of Moshi Town Centre, where it is calm, and has spacious rooms and all the facilities that you would need for a comfortable pre-trek environment. In Kiswahili, the local language “chanya” means “positive.”
We want the spirit of this term to pervade the whole lodge; our goal is to make a positive difference in the lives of our valued visitors, communities, and the environment.
