Providing 12 rooms, the lodge offers cozy lodging, charming gardens, and a spacious swimming pool. On clear days, the lodge offers stunning views of Kilimanjaro, setting it apart from other nearby hotels in Arusha. Launched in 2017, Planet Lodge is a modern and budget-friendly hotel conveniently located close to Kilimanjaro International Airport. With only a few accommodation options near the airport, it is an ideal choice for those arriving early or departing late. Currently boasting 31 rooms categorized as Standard and Deluxe, the lodge offers various lodging options. The rooms are tastefully adorned with colourful wildlife paintings and authentic African fabrics, adding a touch of vibrancy to the accommodations. Each room features an en suite bathroom with all the amenities expected of an international hotel, including air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, coffee and tea-making facilities, and a retractable mosquito net. Additionally, there is a shaded veranda outside each room, providing a peaceful spot to relax and admire the garden views. The bathrooms are equipped with complimentary toiletries and come with a spacious walk-in shower. Standard rooms can be configured as doubles, twins, or triples, with some having an interconnecting door suitable for families. The Deluxe rooms are slightly larger and come with a small sitting area and a bathtub in the en suite bathroom. For meals, guests can dine indoors or outdoors at the lodge’s restaurant overlooking the lush gardens. A bar offers a variety of refreshing beverages, while the outdoor seating area provides a relaxing atmosphere. Outside, guests can enjoy the large swimming pool surrounded by lime green loungers, where a second bar is located. The tropical gardens are a haven for local birdlife, adding to the tranquil ambience of the lodge. Additional facilities include a massage room for spa treatments and a workstation with a desktop computer. Plans include the construction of a small gym to enhance guest experiences. A unique feature of Planet Lodge is its shower service, allowing visitors to freshen up after a safari by paying a nominal fee without needing to book a dayroom. The property is 41 kilometers from Arusha and 40 kilometers from Moshi. Kilimanjaro International Airport is 7 kilometers from Airport Planet Lodge, and the facility provides a complimentary airport shuttle service.

Airport Planet Lodge’s infrastructure and services

A restaurant is open for business, where you may order delectable food and beverages. The motel is surrounded by a garden. You can utilize the airport shuttle service to go to and from the airport. Food and drinks can be delivered straight to guests’ rooms. On-site, there is an SPA facility with a variety of cosmetic procedures.

Guests are provided with an Internet connection. Non-smoking rooms are available. Guests arriving by automobile will appreciate a parking area. Airport Transfer Services

We provide complimentary Airport (JRO) shuttles to/from our Lodge*, access to our business center with laptops and printer, and a 24-hour coffee/tea station with fresh handmade cookies for in-house guests.

We also provide a scheduled shuttle service from our Lodge to downtown Arusha for just $15 per person, departing at 7:45 a.m. (arriving in Arusha at 8:45 a.m. – excellent for people joining or beginning a safari in Arusha). Please make your reservation at least 12 hours in advance.
