Our group climbs exclusively take the greatest routes up Mount Kilimanjaro: the 9-day Northern Circuit, the 8-day Lemosho, the 7-day Rongai, and the 7-day Machame. These group climbs are planned during the ideal weather months and include acclimatisation days to boost success rates.

Kilimanjaro treks during the low season (April, May, and November) need to be communicated first before bookings as there is a high likelihood of rain, and only experienced trekkers should contemplate climbing during these months. Shira, Lemosho, or the Northern Circuit treks may be more difficult to organize due to rains that prohibit vehicle access to the trailheads. We recommend the Rongai Route and Marangu Route during this time of the year.

• We offer private climbs for people who prefer to climb on alternative dates or routes than our group excursions.
• A supplemental price would apply if a person preferred single room/tent accommodation; extra costs are available upon request.
• On the Marangu Route, everyone will share the A-frame hut lodging, which has 8 dormitory-styled, bunk beds per hut.
• Additional days on the mountain might be added for an additional fee of US$ 255 each day.
• Except for the single-person rate, the rates indicated above are per-person sharing.
• If Kilimanjaro National Park fees or government taxes / VAT change, all prices are subject to change without notice. Current park fees and taxes are valid through June 30, 2026, and are subject to change beginning July 1, 2027.

Grouping Up

Group joining is perfect for solo travellers and young, enthusiastic travellers like students, backpackers and travellers on a tight budget. Making the effort to group up with like-minded travellers is exciting. It is important to get to know who you will be climbing the mountain with for days that is why some climbers group up to get familiar with each other before taking up the Kilimanjaro challenge.

Once climbers group up a bond, they have the freedom to socialize freely and share ideas on how to approach the climb and lower their climbing costs as a unit.

There are many open forums and social media groups that allow travellers to engage and arrange meetups like TripAdvisor forums and Lonely Planet’s Thorn Tree forums or, Le Petit Futé, Quotatrip and Le Routard for French travellers.

As for travellers already within Tanzania, meeting up in Arusha and Moshi is a great way to gather and brainstorm your trip as a group. Such useful public places for meetups in Moshi include Kilimanjaro Wonders Hotel, Kilimanjaro Coffee Union, Haria Rooftop bar, Kindoroko Hotel etc. In Arusha you can choose to meet up in hotels, hostels like the Arusha Backpackers rooftop bar, Sable Square, Blue Heron, Via Via, Le patio, Zeze Lounge, Fifi’s restaurant and many more.

It is important to meet your group before climbing because these are the people that you will be spending between 5 to 9 days on the mountain together.

Kilimanjaro Group Treks for the Upcoming 2027 Climbing Season

We are equally excited for the upcoming 2027 climbing season, which comes right after December 2026. We have the scheduled group climbing dates released, but the pricing is yet to be confirmed. Usually, we will be guided by the Kilimanjaro National Park (KINAPA) Authorities from June 1st, 2026, if there are any changes in the park fees and other related takes and fees.
