Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu

Depart from Nairobi in a 4×4 Land Cruiser Jeep.

Day 2: Full-Day at Samburu Reserve

Day 1

Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

5 – 6 Hour Drive

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

At 7:00 am, your Tranquil Kilimanjaro driver/guide will pick you up in a private 4×4 Land Cruiser Jeep from your hotel, residence, or Nairobi airport. We’ll head north through Kenya’s central highlands, passing plantations and enjoying views of Mount Kenya’s snow-capped summit.

The afternoon will be dedicated to game drives in Samburu, Shaba, and Buffalo Springs reserves. Keep an eye out for the abundant elephant population – over 1000 elephants call this park home. Relax and have dinner at our Samburu accommodation.

Day 2

Full-Day at Samburu Reserve

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Embark on unlimited game drives, exploring the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Samburu is known for its “Samburu Special Five,” unique and endangered species such as the Grevy’s Zebra and reticulated giraffe. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the local Samburu people and learn about their culture.

Enjoy the evening at our Samburu accommodation.

Day 3

Samburu – Lake Nakuru

4 – 5 Hour Drive

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Wake up early to experience the park in soft morning light. Head to Lake Nakuru, stopping at Thompson’s Falls en route.

Lake Nakuru’s serene surroundings are home to diverse landscapes and birdlife, including flamingoes and white rhinos.

Relax and dine at our Lake Nakuru accommodation.

Day 4

Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

6 Hour Drive

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Start the day with a bird and game viewing safari in Lake Nakuru Park. Journey south to Masai Mara, a land of rolling hills and abundant wildlife, including the famous Big Five. Be ready for our first Mara game drive upon arrival.

Spend the evening at our Mara safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 5

Full Day at the Masai Mara

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Enjoy a full day of game drives in Masai Mara, especially during the Great Migration season (July – October). Witness the awe-inspiring river crossings and consider an optional hot air balloon safari for a different perspective.

Day 6

Masai Mara – Nairobi

5 – 6 Hour Drive Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Start the day with a pre-breakfast game drive and one final exploration of the Mara. After breakfast, we’ll begin our journey back to Nairobi, arriving at your hotel, residence, or the airport by approximately 4:30 pm.
