Mount Satiman, standing at 2860m above sea level, is part of the Ngorongoro highlands within the Ngorongoro conservation area, bordered by Mount Makarot behind it and the Malanja depression in front.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area in northern Tanzania has a volcanic cone/mountain. It is a popular tourist attraction for travelers, offering a one-day hike with spectacular views of the Ngorongoro crater and other nearby sites.
Mount Satiman also Known as Sadiman, a densely forested volcanic cone, makes up the southwestern segment of the Ngorongoro Highlands together with two other cones, Mount Lemagrut and Mount Makarot and Oldeani.

Mount Satiman’s location
Mount Satiman is a little distance off the western rim of the Ngorongoro crater, visible on the left as you drive from the crater to the Olduvai Gorge.

Hiking (with a ranger) or driving (with a car). Because it is located within a conservation area, you will be required to pay the appropriate fees.
